Secondary 6 students are actively engaging in an exciting and innovative learning experience in their Computer Studies class through the use of SketchUp, a professional 3D design software. As part of their current project, students are designing and creating virtual furniture pieces such as cabinets, chairs, tables, and other household furnishings.

This activity serves as a preparatory stage for a larger and more comprehensive House Design Project that students will undertake later in the term. The furniture they are currently creating will eventually be incorporated into their complete house designs, allowing them to visualize and develop realistic interior spaces.

The project provides students with valuable opportunities to develop skills in computer-aided design, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. It also helps them understand the relationship between architectural design and interior furnishing while gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard technology.

Through this engaging learning environment, students are encouraged to transform their ideas into detailed 3D models, fostering innovation and practical application of digital design concepts. The Computer Studies classroom continues to be a space where creativity and technology come together, preparing students for future academic and career opportunities in design, engineering, architecture, and related fields.

We commend our Secondary 6 students for their hard work, enthusiasm, and creativity as they take the first steps toward bringing their dream house projects to life.
