Topic: Chinese Traditional Cooking – Bāo Jiǎozi (Wrapping Dumplings)

In this Chinese culture class, Bái Lǎo shī and Sunisa Lǎo shī prepared a special experience for students to get hands-on with Chinese food. Among the many Chinese delicacies, we chose the most representative one—jiǎozi—as our focus.

After learning about the Chinese traditions and cultural significance of jiǎozi, students actively participated in the dumpling-making process. This included everything from preparing ingredients and seasonings to cleaning and cutting vegetables, and then working together to wrap the dumplings. Everyone was involved in each step and thoroughly enjoyed the entire process.

Of course, everyone also shared the delicious, hard-earned results, and the exceptional taste amazed all the students. This Chinese culture class offered every student a new and unforgettable experience.
