Student-Led Grammar Exploration: Modals and Future Tenses

EditTitle: Student-Led Grammar Exploration: Modals and Future Tenses
Class: Secondary 5
By Miss Wichaporn Siniam
In this dynamic English lesson, we witness a thoughtful two-part learning approach. The first part showcases student leadership, where groups of students prepare and present their understanding of modal verbs and future tenses to their classmates. As seen in the image, a team of students stands confidently at the front of the room, with a presentation displayed on the screen showing content.
These student presentations serve as an initial exploration of the grammar concepts, allowing them to:
- Share their current understanding of the topics
- Practice public speaking skills
- Engage their peers in learning

Following the student presentations, the teacher steps in to provide professional instruction, clarifying any misconceptions and deepening the students' understanding of proper usage and context and common mistakes to avoid in each topic.

This two-phase approach proves particularly effective as it combines peer learning with expert guidance. The classroom environment, equipped with modern teaching tools and showing clear student engagement, creates an ideal setting for this collaborative learning experience.
