Primary 5 Students Get a Taste of iPSLE Oral Exam in Engaging the Reading Aloud and Conversation Assessment.
By Ms. Ratchanee Buranasatitnon
Our Primary 5 students recently had the opportunity to enhance their English speaking skills through a special Reading Aloud and Conversation assessment held on January 22, 2025. This activity, conducted in collaboration with MLP’s dedicated foreign teachers, took place at the Saint Louis Arena from 8:00 to 9:10 AM. Designed to prepare students for the iPSLE English Paper 4 Oral Exam, the assessment focused on key aspects of effective communication, including:
Accurate Pronunciation: Students practiced clear and precise pronunciation of English words.
Natural Intonation: The assessment emphasized the importance of using appropriate intonation to convey meaning.
Fluent Delivery: Students worked on delivering their reading and responses smoothly and confidently.
Conversational Skills: The conversation component provided a platform for students to practice interacting with native speakers in a simulated exam setting.
This valuable experience provided students with a practical understanding of iPSLE oral exam expectations and helped them build confidence in their English speaking abilities.
