Explored Chinese home-style dishes in Chinese Lesson

This September, the Chinese class for M.6/7 moved from the classroom to the kitchen. In our second lesson, we explored Chinese home-style dishes, learning vocabulary for various vegetables, meats, seasonings, and the cooking process.

To make the class more engaging, we organized a hands-on activity. Students were divided into groups to prepare a home-style dish. Each member took on a specific role, whether it was preparing ingredients, cooking, or filming. Afterward, someone had to handle post-production, adding Chinese narration and subtitles in both Chinese and Thai.

With short videos being so popular on social media, we also want our students to pick up relevant skills. Maybe someone got inspired by these kind of activities, and someday they can be the next famous YouTuber or TikToker! This approach helps keep learning in step with the trends and embraces the “learning by doing” philosophy.
