Primary 2 students had a fun way of learning biotic and abiotic. The lesson was divided into different parts.

Read it!
Teachers present the vocabulary enrichment. This helps the students or the language learners to understand the words they listen or read in the foreign language. Vocabulary plays an important role in word recognition. It enables them to speak, write, read with confidence. It is also the key to reading comprehension.

Watch it!
The learners will watch a short video clip. This will give a quick description of biotic and abiotic. Then learners will be asked some questions like to differentiate the biotic and abiotic based on what they have seen.

Explore it!
The teachers will discuss more about the lesson. The learners will then be asked to think about a certain ecosystem and list a few abiotic and biotic factors.

Assess it!
Using iPSLE workbook the learners will prove their mastery of the concept by identifying the biotic and abiotic in an environment and writing them in the correct column.

Engage in it!
Learners will play a game entitled "Biotic (to the left) and Abiotic (to the right)" to practice their skill in listening and quick thinking! After the game, the engagement activity continues to discuss what the learners discovered and realized during the game.

Write it!
Writing the vocabulary and keywords are essential for the foreign language learners. There is a saying "The weakest pencil is better than the strongest memory. Study with a pencil in hand.
