Students Dive Deep into Fish Anatomy in Summer Science Course, Primary 5 Science Class in Summer Course 2025
Young learners in a local summer science program recently got a hands-on experience exploring the fascinating world of fish anatomy. As part of their curriculum, students participated in an activity titled "Observing Fish," where they used magnifying glasses and tweezers to closely examine the physical characteristics of a fresh fish.
The activity, designed to spark curiosity and develop scientific observation skills, involved students wearing rubber gloves to maintain hygiene. They carefully observed the fish's external features, used tweezers to remove a scale for closer inspection under the magnifying glass, and even explored the intricate structure of the gills.
"This activity allows students to engage with science in a tangible way, by observing the fish up close, they gain a better understanding of biological structures and how they function."
The students, visibly engaged and enthusiastic, recorded their observations, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills. The "Observing Fish" activity is just one example of the interactive and educational experiences offered in the summer science course, aiming to inspire the next generation of scientists.
