Kodu Game Lab Computer, Primary

Kodu Game Lab is a visual programming platform developed by Microsoft that allows users, especially beginners and children, to create 3D games without prior coding experience. It features a simple, tile-based interface where users build game logic through visual rules instead of traditional programming. Designed for Windows and Xbox, Kodu encourages creativity, problem-solving, and computational thinking, making it a popular educational tool for teaching basic programming concepts in a fun and interactive way.

In this topic, students will design and develop their own games using Kodu Game Lab, applying the concepts and skills acquired from previous lessons. This project enables them to integrate fundamental game design principles, logical reasoning, and event-driven programming to create interactive and engaging experiences. By building their own games, students enhance their problem-solving abilities, computational thinking, and creativity while gaining hands-on experience in game development.

Kodu Game Lab empowers young learners to explore game development by creating their own interactive experiences while developing essential programming skills. Through this hands-on approach, Primary 3 students strengthen their problem-solving abilities, logical reasoning, and creativity in a fun and engaging way. By integrating fundamental game design principles and event-driven programming, they acquire valuable digital skills that prepare them for future technological challenges.
