HTML Hyperlinks Computer, Secondary 4
HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is the set of markup symbols or codes inserted into a file intended for display on the internet. The markup tells web browsers how to display a webpage’s words and images.
Each individual piece markup code (which would fall between “<” and “>” characters) is referred to as an element, though many people also refer to it as a tag. Some elements come in pairs that indicate when some display effect is to begin and when it is to end.
For this topic, the students from Secondary 4 learned on how they are able to indicate multiple hyperlinks/URL into their HTML codes using Notepad++ software. They can also use a hyperlink as a text or an image once it is displayed on the web. The students were able to use their creativeness by designing their own website like adding background colors or image, inserting an image, changing the fonts and others.
HTML is an essential skill for web development, providing the foundation for creating and structuring web pages. By understanding the basic structure, common tags, attributes, and semantic elements, you can create well-organized and accessible web pages. HTML works hand-in-hand to create visually appealing and interactive web experiences.
