A survey project in M.4 Mathematics Class.
by Ms. Jubaiya Jahan and Mr. Taweesak Kaewsang
Master Taweesak Kaewsang and Miss Jubaiya Jahan assigned M4 students a survey project. The students were divided into groups of five or six by the teachers, encouraging them to collaborate with unfamiliar peers outside their comfort zones—an experience that will benefit them in their professional lives.
Each group was given the freedom to choose their own topic, fostering a sense of empowerment. They were tasked with collecting and analyzing data using the statistical tools they had learned this semester, allowing them to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.
This project also aimed to help students develop teamwork skills, respect different perspectives, and improve their ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively. To encourage independent problem-solving, students were instructed not to approach teachers with group-related conflicts but instead resolve them collaboratively.
Students were required to write a report based on their survey, including the following sections: Topic, Background, Objective, Population and Sample, Data Collection, Data Analysis, Conclusion, and Discussion.
