Time Management Vocabulary Practice : Secondary 5, English
The goal of this lesson was to help students practice the vocabulary related to time management, which they learned in the previous lesson. The lesson was structured into three main activities: creating a dialogue, performing it, and answering questions.
First, students worked in pairs to create a short dialogue using the target vocabulary. They were encouraged to make the conversation realistic and include common time management challenges, such as planning a schedule, managing deadlines, and prioritizing tasks. This activity allowed students to think critically about how to use the vocabulary in context.
Next, each group performed their dialogue in front of the class. The performances helped students practice pronunciation, fluency, and confidence in speaking. Some students were nervous, but overall, they did well in using the vocabulary correctly.
Finally, the teacher asked the class questions about each dialogue, focusing on key details. This step ensured comprehension and encouraged active listening. Students had to recall and analyze what happened in their classmates' dialogues.
The lesson was successful in reinforcing the target vocabulary. Most students actively participated and demonstrated a good understanding of time management terms.
