Empowering ACSP Educators: SOLO Taxonomy Training
ACSP EP invited Professor Weeraphat Suksiri, Ph.D., from Srinakharinwirot University, for the Teacher Training titled "Assessment and Evaluation Aligned with the Competency-Based Curriculum Using the SOLO Taxonomy Framework." The event was held on 19 June 2025 at MSC 09-10.
This training was organised to bring together teachers who are committed to refine their assessment strategies in line with modern competency-based learning. The training was officially opened by Vice Director Bro. Kornkavee Yindeevech, who emphasized the importance of designing assessment methods suitable with students’ aptitude and cognitive level. He also added that this training is a vital part of our teachers’ mission to ensure that every learner is evaluated fairly and meaningfully.
Professor Weeraphat Suksiri, Ph.D., shared his knowledge and expertise in curriculum design and assessment. With years of experience in educational innovation, the speaker provided deep insights into the SOLO Taxonomy, guiding teachers on how to design assessments that truly reflect students’ understanding and growth. Throughout the training, participants engaged in good discussions on how to apply SOLO taxonomy levels (from pre-structural to extended abstract) to formative and summative assessment in real classroom settings. Teachers left the training equipped with practical tools and renewed inspiration to foster deeper learning and more accurate evaluations in their classrooms.
EP would like to thank the event organizers for this training which served as a meaningful experience added to professional development and educational development.
