Under the teachers’ training project of EP Academics Administrative Team, the English Program invited Professor Dr. Vijay R. Kannan, A. Vernon and Maree Buehler Endowed Professor from Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, Utah State University, USA, to be the guest speaker for Empowering EP HOD: Management, Leadership, & Teamwork Training held on 29 May 2024 at the Multi Skills Centre (MSC10), St. Louis Marie building.

This training was organized to support the targeted skills of EP Goals AY24: Authentic Learning for Innovative Students. Professor Dr. Vijay shared his valuable insights on the realities of Gen Z and its implications for learning, contemporary learning environments, content and context classroom learning, and practical realities. As someone who has led student programs in 12 countries in Asia, Europe, and South America, he also shared his first-hand experiences on education trends, current issues, and possible solutions applicable to ACSP.

The knowledge and experience gained from this training gave teachers new learning strategies and ideas to continue to plan and design engaging activities for their respective departments. In turn, it will equip EP students with the necessary skills for lifelong learning and tertiary study.
