ACSP English Program, led by the Science department, celebrated our annual Science Week under the theme "Environment and Innovation" from August 26th to 30th, 2024. In Thailand, National Science Day is observed in August to honor the anniversary of H.M. King Mongkut’s (Rama IV) total solar eclipse predictions in 1868. His wisdom and vision contributed significantly to science in Thailand, earning him the title "Father of Sciences."
Science Week aims to spark young children's curiosity and help them understand the world around them in a fun way. Everyone is welcome to join us in celebrating Science Week. Each grade level will have various engaging activities: Primary 1 (making musical instruments), Primary 2 (5 different types of habitats), Primary 3 (5 groups of vertebrates), Primary 4 (infectious diseases), Primary 5 (science toys), Primary 6 (public presentation: sustainable use of natural resources), Secondary 1 (garden ideas by eco-bricks), Secondary 2 (infinity & beyond), Secondary 3 (SMART light), Secondary 4 (innovative solutions about environmental issues), Secondary 5 (biomimicry: crafting a sustainable future), Secondary 6 (innovative early warning systems and evacuation plans for a safe and sustainable world). The English Program hopes these events will engage and inspire students through science, technology, engineering, and the world around them.
ACSP sends a big thank you to the event organizers, the Science Department, and the English Program for their invaluable contributions to a fantastic Science Week!
