Primary 3, Social Studies with Fun Games By Ms. Wilailuck and Mr. Isagani Cesar

In Social Studies for Primary 3, students are facilitated to recall their previous lessons with fun-games. Learners become active participants using “spin-a-wheel” technology tools for learning.

In this Social Studies course, the students learned about the differences between necessary goods and services. They will develop skills to explain the different choices of spending money, and understand the terms income and expenditure. They will learn to apply economic principles related to personal financial planning, budgeting, savings, investing, borrowing and insuring decisions.

Active learning is educational strategies that involve students in doing things and thinking about the things they are doing. A course related approach which encourages all students to participate in class rather than simply watching, listening and taking notes. Learners participate and confidently interact with the learning process, as opposed to passively receiving information. A large amount of educational research shows that incorporating games in the classroom can increase the overall motivation of the students. They become more motivated to learn, catch attention, and interact in class activities. It can also be a great classroom management tool, helping to motivate learners.
