MLP’s Learning Atmosphere

Primary 4 MLP English Fundamental students reinforced their understanding of the present simple tense and transition words by competing in a team-based game.

The students spent the past few weeks learning about the present simple tense, prepositions of time and transition words. They worked hard and were ready to test their knowledge.
They were divided into eight teams of around five students. They warmed up by studying eight sentences that were displayed on the board. Afterward each team worked to remember and write one of the sentences correctly. This warm-up exercise prepared them for the final competition in which they were divided into two groups and then competed in a board race. The board race challenged each team to write a sentence about their daily routine as quickly as possible on the board. The team that finished first won the competition.
The students were excited to show their ability to write fast and remember what they had seen. Each team approached the board ready to write. Regardless of who won, everyone learned something and had fun. It was a productive and fun way to test their knowledge.
