Hands On Learning in Technology and IoT
Our Secondary 5 students in MLP Computer Subject have been working on a Smart Home and IoT project in class. They started by sharing ideas and planning what their smart house should do. After that, they worked in groups to cut materials and build the house structure together.
Once the house was ready, students added electronic parts such as lights, sensors, motors, and buzzers. They learned how each part works and how sensors can control actions automatically. Students then programmed their smart homes to respond to light, sound, distance, and other conditions.
The project continued with cloud learning using Arduino IoT Cloud. Students learned how to monitor data and control devices online. This helped them understand how real IoT systems work in daily life.
Through this project, students practiced teamwork, problem solving, and creative thinking. They were excited to see their ideas turn into real working systems.
