P5 and P6 Students Explore the World Through Classroom Weather Forecasts!

Primary 5 and 6 students from the English Program recently turned their classrooms into mini-international weather studios as they presented “Weather Forecasts Around the World.” This hands‑on activity gave learners the chance to research global climates while practicing English communication and teamwork in a fun, interactive way.

During the activity, each group created and delivered a weather forecast for a different country. The classroom came alive with colourful posters, handmade charts, and digital slides as students shared weather updates from places such as Thailand, the United Kingdom, the Maldives, Germany, Norway, China, Hawaii, Korea, Italy, Spain, Canada, Switzerland, Japan, the USA, and Finland.

One group explained the cool and mild seasons of the United Kingdom and described how the weather changes from spring to winter. Another team presented the warm and sunny climate of the Maldives. Students also introduced Japan’s four distinct seasons, Canada’s icy northern temperatures, and Hawaii’s bright and warm summertime conditions.

Teachers were delighted by the students’ clear explanations, creative presentations, and growing confidence in speaking English. The activity not only strengthened their language and research skills but also helped them appreciate the variety of climates found across the globe.

We look forward to seeing more creative and educational projects from our P5 and P6 students as they continue to explore the world through English language learning!
