From Classroom to Insight: Cambridge One’s Evaluation Visit
As part of the ongoing research project and evaluation initiative, ‘Impact evaluation of Cambridge English Learning and Assessment’ at St Gabriel’s Schools, Assumption College Samutprakarn invited Miss Parinya Chopaka, Learning & Assessment Consultant Cambridge, UK for classroom observations. This activity is a key component of a broader research effort aimed at assessing the outcomes of using Cambridge English educational products and services, including courses and exams such as Movers, Flyers, KET, and PET.
The observation is part of a structured evaluation process designed to analyze the effectiveness of Cambridge English programs in real classroom settings, gather insights into teaching practices and student engagement, and support continuous improvement in English language education.
Two English teachers were observed during their regular classes: Mr. Jonathan Presland and Mr. James Churchward. Following the classroom sessions, Miss Parinya Chopaka conducted three sets of interviews at ISTC, 1st floor of the Learning Centre, to gather qualitative feedback: an interview with each observed teacher, a group interview with eight students from the observed class, and an interview with the Head of the English Department.
We thank all staff and students for their cooperation and appreciate their involvement in this project.
