ACSP Hosts Lifesaving First Aid Training for Secondary Students
Students from Secondary 1 to 6 at ACSP took part in an essential First Aid Training Seminar held on August 20 and 27 at the ACSP Discovery Center, led by healthcare professionals from Sikarin Hospital. The training focused on equipping students with vital lifesaving skills such as Basic First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and how to assist someone who is choking.
The seminar was designed to empower students with knowledge and confidence on how to act in emergency situations. Participants learned how to assess an injured person, perform CPR effectively on both adults and children, operate an AED safely, and respond promptly if someone is choking. Hands-on demonstrations and interactive practice sessions ensured students could apply what they learned in real-life scenarios.
This training is part of ACSP’s ongoing commitment to holistic education, developing students academically while also preparing them to be responsible and capable citizens.
By the end of the session, many students expressed newfound confidence in their ability to help others during emergencies. With these essential skills, ACSP students are now better prepared to make a difference when it matters most.
The English Program would like to thank the coordinators and the Healthcare Professionals of Sikarin Hospital for the success of the activity.
