EP Discipline: Youth of Nature

On 6 February 2025, the EP Discipline invited Miss Kornkeaw Saiwong (ป้ากุ้งแปลงร่างขยะ), from the Volunteer Network for the Protection of Natural Resources and the Village Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, to teach Primary 4 & 6 students the importance of the 3Rs in waste management. Reduce, to minimize the amount of waste we dispose of; Reuse, to use items we buy more than once; and recycle, to create a product out of it instead of throwing it away.

During the discussion, students were attentive and engaged, especially when the speaker guided them to demonstrate the proper waste separation. The guest speaker brought materials such as mini trash bins with labels and trash samples to help students understand the essence of being a responsible citizen of Earth. She allowed the students to learn by doing it themselves, to determine which trash could be reused or recycled and turned into handicrafts.

By managing our waste effectively, we can create a positive impact on climate change and conserve our natural resources. Every person, young and old, can be a part of the solution, not a polluter.

The English Program would like to thank the coordinators and students for the successful activity.
