Since last week, Primary 2 students have been exploring the Solar System, a unit that they always look forward to with excitement! This space unit includes several interactive activities and fun experiments.

The students have shown a keen interest in learning about the universe, particularly our Solar System. Some of them are inspired to be an astronaut when they grow up. To complement their learning, the Primary 2 students were challenged to design a hands-on model of the eight planets, their orbits, and the Sun on a black feature board using playdough.

This activity allows students to apply their knowledge of our Solar System. Students also included asteroids and stars to enhance the visual. This activity reinforces their understanding of the inner and outer planets, the structure of the Solar System, and the characteristics of each planet.

They enjoyed using their artistic skills to mold the planets and included beautiful asteroids to add a finishing touch. Everyone’s final project turned out spectacularly! Great job to all Primary 2 students for their hard work.
