Assumption University and ACSP: P4 Financial Literacy for Kids
On November 28, 2024, the ACSP English Program held financial literacy training for Primary 4 students. The event featured two guest experts from Assumption University Faculty of Business Administration and Economics, Dr. Pathathai Sinliamthong and Dr. Sarina Preechalert, accompanied by thirteen seniors majoring in finance, who shared their knowledge and enthusiasm for this subject.
The training was held at the Student Lounge and World Culture room, providing a different environment conducive to learning. The training objective was to enhance financial literacy among the Primary 4 students. Throughout the session, participants engaged in interactive activities and discussions aimed at helping them understand fundamental concepts related to managing money effectively. The training emphasized the importance of cultivating responsible money habits, encouraging students to think critically about what spending and saving practices are.
Additionally, the training aimed to instill a sense of accountability in the young learners, guiding them in recognizing the value of money and its impact on their lives. By the end of the session, students acquired practical skills and developed a deeper understanding, which will help them make informed financial decisions in the future. The data collected from Primary 4 during this training will be correlated and compared with the data gathered from lower secondary students in another school.
EP would like to thank the event organizers and Assumption University for making this training meaningful and enjoyable for the students.
