OXBIT for Youth Innovation for a Changing World

With their innovative entry, OXBIT, Chatchawan Bendjerdsirikul, and Phongnakorn Phongsachai, from Secondary 5/9, with their advisors Miss Achara Sitthikham and Miss Jeena Augustine, achieved a remarkable feat by securing a spot as one of the top 8 finalists for the final round of the "Youth Innovation for a Changing World" project which will be held in April 2025.

This competition is part of the Toyota Green Town project, a collaborative initiative involving Toyota Motor Thailand Co., Ltd., the Thailand Environment Institute (TEI), and the National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). The project encourages young innovators to create and develop environmental nanotechnology solutions designed to reduce carbon emissions, intending to achieve Carbon Neutrality by 2050.

Winning innovations are expected to be developed into prototypes for practical use and extended as community learning centers for effective knowledge transfer. Participants across Thailand—including teams from the North, Central, South, and Northeast regions—joined this competition. These teams comprise high school and vocational students, with approximately 400-500 teams competing.

This accomplishment not only showcases their talent but also highlights the potential of youth-driven innovation to effect meaningful change. Thanks to all the people who supported the students, and we wish them success in the final round!
