On Sunday, 4 August, 2019, The Brothers of Assumption Samutprakarn community held a Monthly recollection for the Brothers working and living in different communities in Bangkok region namely; Assumption Thonburi, Assumption University, Assumption College, St.Gabriel’s College, Gabrielite Provincial Center, Assumption Commercial College, Assumption College English Program and Saint Gabriel’s Scholasticate. Important events on this day begin with morning prayer, spiritual reflections, praying of rosary followed by Eucharistic celebration.
The Brothers, then, assembled in front of the “Regina Coeli” house where there was a blessing ceremony. The “Regina Coeli” house has been established as a religious house for the Brothers of ACSP community, working at Assumption Samutprakarn. It has been canonically approved by Cardinal Francis Xaviour Kriengsak Kovithavanij, Bishop of Bangkok Diocese. During lunch time there was a celebration for some of our Brothers whose feast day and birthday fall on the month of August.
The community of ACSP would like to thank Bro. Dechachai, Provincial Superior, Bro.Surasit Sukchai, former Provincial Superior who initiated the establishment of this house and Bro. Thaksabutr Kraiprasit, former Director of Assumption Samutprakarn who designed the house and community chapel. Many thanks aslo to all the Brothers who attended this function. Special thanks to Bro.Amnuay Yoonprayong who animated and shared points of spiritual reflections and made this recollection a nourishing and enriching one.
