Cambridge English Assessment AY2024

Last month, students from the English Program took the Cambridge English Assessment: a selection of Primary 2 students completed the Movers test, Primary 4 students took the Flyers exam, Secondary 1 students had the Key English Test (KET), and Secondary 2 students engaged with the Preliminary English Test (PET).

These assessments are important parts of the Cambridge English Qualifications and are recognized internationally. In preparation for these important tests, students received comprehensive tuition as a revision prepared by EP academics. This tuition focused on engaging and enjoyable learning experiences, allowing young learners to be ready for their respective assessments.

Each lesson is thoughtfully structured to build upon foundational knowledge, while familiarizing students with the requirements of the exams, to prepare them to do their best. This helps ensure that as students advance, they not only enhance their language skills but also enjoy the process of learning, and are set up to succeed. Including age-appropriate content, vibrant visuals, and interactive elements makes the lessons captivating and fosters a positive attitude toward language acquisition.

Cambridge English operates a vast network of assessment centers; each year, over 2,800 centers from 130 countries administer these standardized tests to ensure consistency and fairness in evaluating students' English proficiency. Through these assessments, students can demonstrate their progress, which can benefit them in their studies, while gaining very valuable international qualifications to set them up for a bright future.
