The ACSP English Program organized the Assessment of English Fluency using EdSpeak by EDSY for Primary 5 to Secondary 6 students. The assessment occurred on 11-13 September 2024 at the Silver Jubilee Hall.

EDSY is an EdTech startup supported by the National Innovation Agency (NIA) and the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA). It aims to help Thai students across the country gain confidence in speaking English. The AI technology was developed at Carnegie Mellon University (USA) in collaboration with researchers from Chulalongkorn University.

The assessment consists of two parts: multiple-choice questions and a speaking test. The multiple-choice section evaluates the use of the English language. The speaking test assesses students' abilities in reading aloud, responding to open-ended questions, and describing illustrations.

Assessment results will be available two weeks after the test on the EDSY website. The evaluation report will include EdSpeak scores, CEFR, and Cambridge Assessment standards. It will also give primary indicators and recommendations for students' development in areas such as fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
